Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patients using ESI and Emergency Severity Index protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for critical case management
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (Epic Systems preferred)
- Provide telehealth triage support for rural Alaskan communities
- Lead trauma activations and mass casualty incident response
- Mentor junior nursing staff and optimize department workflows
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license with minimum 3 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Experience with Alaskan healthcare systems strongly preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in high-stress, low-temperature environments
