Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and monitor infection control protocols
- Account for surgical sponges, needles, and instruments
- Prepare patients for procedures including positioning and draping
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
- Operate sterilization equipment and maintain inventory
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Graduate from accredited surgical technology program
- Minimum 1 year of OR experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- TN state licensure or eligible
