Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterility
- Manage surgical equipment and inventory with precision
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of medical instruments
- Document surgical procedures accurately in compliance with standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient care
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in acute care setting
- Proficiency in sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- BLS certification and current Alaska license
- Knowledge of surgical procedures across specialties
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
