Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with precise instrument passing and sponge/needle counts
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to AORN standards
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Manage surgical equipment sterilization and inventory
- Document procedural outcomes in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C)
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience in general surgery
- BLS certification and current Arizona state license
- Proficiency in laparoscopic and robotic surgical equipment
- Exceptional attention to detail and sterile technique
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with physical stamina
