Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile surgical environments and equipment in compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
- Assist surgeons during procedures, including instrument passing and sterile field maintenance
- Manage inventory and supply chain logistics via our remote inventory management system
- Document perioperative data accurately using our electronic health record platform
- Collaborate with sterile processing team remotely to optimize instrument turnaround
- Maintain digital surgical equipment logs and calibration schedules
- Participate in virtual continuing education and departmental meetings
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience in surgical specialties
- Proficiency with electronic health records and inventory management software
- Ability to work 3-4 days on-site with 1-2 remote days per week
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique mastery
- Experience with minimally invasive surgical instrumentation preferred
- Exceptional communication skills for hybrid team collaboration
