Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient positioning
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Record patient information and update digital records accurately
- Provide post-procedure instructions and ensure patient comfort
- Manage infection control protocols and OSHA compliance
- Schedule appointments and handle basic front desk duties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- No prior dental experience required – training provided
- Certification in CPR/BLS or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform detailed tasks
- Basic computer literacy for dental software
- Valid Louisiana state ID and reliable transportation
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
