Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring to and from beds or wheelchairs using proper techniques.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and directed by licensed staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, valid California CNA Certification (RNs with experience are also encouraged to apply).
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting/transferring patients.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in long-term care or acute care settings preferred but not mandatory.
