Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene to ensure patient dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility challenges, including transferring from bed to wheelchair and ambulation support.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and responses to treatment in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and patients' families to ensure holistic care.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Missouri CNA Certification (State License) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
