Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding as needed.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document all care provided and patient interactions in electronic health records.
- Respond to patient calls and alarms efficiently throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently.
