Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move safely, transfer between bed and wheelchair, and provide ambulation assistance.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in condition.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with eating if necessary.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Household Help: Light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, changing linens, and running errands.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior CNA or HHA experience necessary. A valid driver's license is a plus.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and strong communication skills.
- Physical: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; ability to assist with patient transfers.
- Certifications: Current CNA or HHA certification preferred, but not mandatory if willing to complete state-required training.
- Character: Must pass a background check and drug screen. Must possess a genuine passion for helping others.
