Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers safely.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN under supervision.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Document patient care services in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (valid in MA or FL).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or acute care setting is preferred.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
