Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them from bed to wheelchair or using walkers.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in accordance with facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Prepare and serve meals while ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and emotional support.
Qualifications
- Current, valid California CNA Certification (or eligibility to obtain one).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred).
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
