Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing and medical staff.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) accurately.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores, as directed.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients with special dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Charge Nurse immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (valid in Texas).
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
