Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Record and report patient health status, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move around the facility, transfer between beds and wheelchairs, and provide ambulation support.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the nursing staff to ensure clear communication of patient needs.
- Document Care: Accurately document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Emotional Support: Offer compassionate support and companionship to patients to improve their emotional well-being.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patients remain clean, dry, and comfortable at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Licensure: Current Arizona CNA license required. (New graduates welcome! We can assist with licensing guidance).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and patience when interacting with the elderly or disabled population.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance and a positive attitude.
