Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
- Communicate any changes in patient condition or behavior immediately to the Registered Nurse (RN) in charge.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Assist with meal service and ensure patients are properly hydrated.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Missouri required.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be current.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
