Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding as needed.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, personal hygiene, and medication administration under strict supervision.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment, including bed-making and room sanitation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (or willing to obtain).
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs) as required.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
