Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts in compliance with HIPAA.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Illinois CNA certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift patients safely.
