Responsibilities
- Provide essential patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, including assisting with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, including walking, transferring, and using walkers or wheelchairs safely.
- Prepare and serve meals while adhering to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, sanitary, and comfortable patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients safely.
