Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Status: Observe and report changes in patient conditions, including vital signs and behavioral changes, to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
- Administer Medication: Assist with medication administration under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Document Care: Accurately record patient care activities and medical information in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Maintain Safety: Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate with Team: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to provide cohesive patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered State of Tennessee CNA license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical mobility assistance.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy and a genuine desire to help patients.
