Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Ensure patients are well-hydrated and well-nourished by assisting with meals and feeding as needed.
- Mobility Support: Safely assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises to prevent falls.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) and care logs.
- Communication: Report changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Texas State Board of Nursing (BSBN) CNA certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of infection control, body mechanics, and basic nursing procedures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- License: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
