Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and medical equipment usage
- Document patient observations accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Support patient emotional needs and family communication
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Electronic medical record proficiency
- Background check and drug screen clearance
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance
