Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, wound care, and patient mobility/transfers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment, including bed making and room sanitization.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN, ensuring accurate documentation.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Previous experience in a hospital or medical setting is preferred but not required.
