Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and empathetic CNA to assist our nursing staff in providing high-quality care to our patients. You will play a crucial role in the daily lives of our residents and patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the supervision of RNs.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the charge nurse and physician.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and changes in condition in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
