Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Mobility Assistance: Help patients move safely between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations to prevent falls.
- Hygiene Management: Ensure patients maintain proper hygiene and infection control standards.
- Communication: Communicate patient changes and concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) or charge nurse immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete medical charts, incident reports, and shift notes.
- Meal Assistance: Serve meals and assist patients with eating as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must possess a valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
