Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Medication Assistance: Remind patients to take prescribed medications and report any side effects to the nursing staff.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans in compliance with state regulations.
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship and emotional support to patients to enhance their well-being.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient needs and assist in emergency situations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Georgia CNA license (or compact state license).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or home health setting preferred.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and patient-centered approach to care.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
