Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care plans and daily progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and assist in emergency situations following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred but not required.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to patient-centered care.
