Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will provide high-quality patient care, assist providers with examinations, and ensure the clinic runs smoothly during weekend operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature checks.
- Assist providers with patient exams and clinical procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy and EKG procedures as needed.
- Manage patient intake, registration, and electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean and organized examination room environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in electronic health records.
