Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas or activities using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Report changes in patient conditions or concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by state of Maryland.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not always required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
