Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking with a walker or cane.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe patient environment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse or supervisor immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a nurse.
Qualifications
- Current and active California CNA License (or eligibility for reciprocity).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients safely.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Compassionate, patient-oriented attitude with a desire to help others.
