Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- Provide mobility assistance, including transferring patients from beds to wheelchairs and walking with patients as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment to prevent infection and promote patient comfort.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Colorado.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained and current.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and compassion in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
