Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including transferring patients from beds to wheelchairs and walking with patients as needed.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment to prevent infection and promote patient comfort.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Colorado.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained and current.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and compassion in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
