Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Report any changes in a patient’s condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Texas State CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs safely.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or medical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a strong work ethic.
