Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation logs.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure a high standard of patient care and safety.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the State of Texas.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient well-being and dignity.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
