Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and care plans.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients at all times.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity and privacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
