Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking, transferring, and using mobility aids safely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and emotional needs in a respectful and dignified manner.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina State CNA Certification (CNA 1) is required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods as required by the job.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
