Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and report any significant changes to the RN or LPN immediately.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in compliance with facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
Qualifications
- Current and active Ohio CNA license (or state certification).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
