Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking, transferring, and positioning safely.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Document patient information, including changes in condition and daily activities, in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure quality care.
- Respond promptly to call lights and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients up to 250 lbs with assistance.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
