Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions.
- Communicate changes in patient behavior or health status to the nursing supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications as directed by the registered nurse.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Michigan.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong compassion, patience, and empathy when interacting with elderly or disabled patients.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
