Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to the nursing staff.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
  • Provide basic wound care and administer medications under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
  • Transport patients to and from therapy sessions, meals, and activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Document patient progress and communicate any changes in condition to the charge nurse immediately.
  • Build positive relationships with patients and their families, acting as an advocate for their needs.

Qualifications

  • Current and active Washington State CNA License (CNA-1).
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-based environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
