Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations within facility protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and observations in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients safely.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
