Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring to and from beds, wheelchairs, and using walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with RNs, LPNs, and medical staff regarding patient status and care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Nevada State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine commitment to patient well-being.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
