Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and logs as directed by nursing supervisors.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with moving, walking, and transferring to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, reporting changes in patient condition promptly.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, tidy, and sanitized according to health standards.
Qualifications
- Illinois CNA License: Must possess a current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license issued by the State of Illinois.
- High School Diploma: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Entry-Level Mindset: Candidates with no prior healthcare experience are strongly encouraged to apply; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
