Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility issues, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs safely.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and feeding requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Report any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the RN or supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for residents.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license in the state of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain one).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health records.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- CPR certification is preferred but training may be available for qualified entry-level candidates.
