Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients in accordance with facility protocols.
- Document patient care plans, daily progress notes, and any changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient needs.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to improve their quality of life.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks related to patient care, such as making beds and changing linens.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs safely and efficiently.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
- Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or hospital settings is highly valued.
