Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current New York State CNA certification (NYS CNA License) is mandatory.
- CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
