We are currently seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to work our busy weekend rotation. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding assistance, and hygiene maintenance.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and report any significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of Washington DC.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with a high degree of attention to detail.
