Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and family members regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Strong empathy and ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
