Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient conditions, including vital signs and physical symptoms, to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide support with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed.
- Administer Medication: Assist patients with medication reminders and ensure they receive their prescribed treatments accurately.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, logs, and charts in compliance with facility protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active and unencumbered North Carolina CNA license.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine bedside manner.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
