Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by licensed healthcare professionals.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer using proper body mechanics and safety techniques.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities, incidents, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered California CNA License issued by the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and TB test.
- Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not required.
