Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, walking, and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring patients adhere to special dietary requirements.
- Communicate patient conditions, complaints, and changes in behavior to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and accidents.
- Document daily care activities and report any concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (NHA or state-approved).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License (for facility transport duties, if applicable).
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
