Responsibilities
- Provide direct and compassionate patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Document patient condition and care plans accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and medical emergencies.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina or Virginia state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
